A Dignified Illness

A Dignified Illness

Last words spoken through clenched teeth
Mechanical trauma
The dread of being violated
Now and here
From within

Strange to think that
My entry to your world
Needed an explanation
And notions of maturity
So harsh

Your body parts
They crept out of me
Again and everywhere
How could I have ever been alone

Then I moved closer to the trees
And whispered that
I am only
A conjurer
Of stupidity

There I laughed up into my sleeves
And walked away
With a thirst for
Pure indecency

Nothing is more tiresome than
Pretty words
Maybe I never wanted
To be loved

Certain sincerities
They only bore and wound
What I enjoy the most
Is striking matches
With you

Authenticity is never beautiful
Still she believes in
Well-mannered boys and poetry
They can only bruise and groom
All that I ever wanted was to
Eat ashes and glue
